If you choose “Save to My Kitchen”, the service writes the food reference, the storage start date and the selected storage method into your browser’s local storage under shelflifecheck.local-kitchen.v1. The data remains in that browser profile; it is not uploaded to or synchronized with the site server. You can remove individual entries or clear the entire list. Browser settings can also remove this information.

Search and calculators

The food search and date calculations run in your browser. They do not require you to enter your name, email, telephone number or an account password.

Standard server operation

When you visit pages or download reference data, the hosting infrastructure necessarily processes network requests. Operational server logs may contain the requested page, IP address, time and browser information for maintenance and security. This statement does not promise a specific retention period.

Changes to the service

Future analytics, advertising or accounts would require an update to this notice before they are introduced. The current My Kitchen feature does not require a login or cloud synchronization.
